Maybe I’ll file my taxes, too

Tax season is winding down, and I’m finally ready to file mine. Each year, I wait until my clients have filed their taxes before I file. Historically, this has been because some of them file 1099’s – including mine – as part of their tax preparation and because my conscience is clearer when I’ve helped them through the thing toward which our year-long work culminates. With all my small-business clients’ taxes behind us, I’ve started my own process, confident that I can put this whole matter to bed by Saturday, April 12th. We’ll see. I figure that with my clientele pleased as punch about submitting their Quickbooks reports to their accountants, I guess I’ll go ahead and file my taxes, too. Eh, why not?
